Document | Declaration of Intention Candidates for judicial offices are required to file a Declaration of Intention to become a candidate prior to filing their Nomination Documents consisting of a Declaration of Candidacy and a Nomination Paper with the requisite number of signatures. Candidates are required to pay the NONREFUNDABLE filing fee or submit in-lieu signatures for all or a portion of the filing fee at the time of filing the Declaration of Intention. The Declaration of Intention must be obtained from and filed with the county elections official of the county in which the candidate is a resident. (Elections Code §8023) |
