On March 17, 2016 at 11:00 am, the San Benito County Election’s Division will be conducting the randomized alphabet drawing. This is available for viewing by the public. The County random alphabet will be used to order State Senate and State Assembly candidates on the ballot.
Note: the Secretary of State will be conducting the randomized alphabet drawing on March 17th also. This drawing will affect the candidates for County Supervisor.
The eligible incumbent for Supervisor District 1 did not file for this office. Per Election Code §8024, the candidate filing period, for this office only, is being extended for anyone other than the incumbent, until Wednesday March 16, 2016.
All filing paperwork must be filed in the San Benito County Election’s Office no later than 5pm on March 16, 2016.

The final day to declare your candidacy for one of the 3 supervisor positions, 3 board of educations positions, central committee positions and all statewide positions on the June 2016 election, is Friday March 11. Potential candidates must have nomination signatures and all paperwork completed in our office by 5pm on March 11.
